This is a 1 hour online program. You can study at your own pace but still have access to the instructor to ask questions, interact with your fellow students and more. All participants will be required to take an online test to receive their certificate of completion. You will have one week to complete the materials.
To participate in this course you will need Internet access and the ability to view youtube style videos. The course will work on home computers and tablets such as the iPad.
About the instructor:
Dr. Brittany Shoots-Reinhard has a Ph.D. in Social Psychology with a focus on attitudes, persuasion, judgment and decision making, goals and motivation, and personality. Broadly speaking, her research involved determining how people’s thoughts, particularly their beliefs about their thoughts, influenced their judgments and behavior. Her dissertation involved measuring people’s certainty in their responses to personality assessments. She is a specialist in communications and promotional strategy, a freelance communications, marketing and PR consultant, and has over seven years’ experience teaching undergraduate psychology. She has also has practical industry experience working for humanist non-profit Foundation Beyond Belief as the director of special projects and more recently as the Beyond Belief Network coordinator, supporting the volunteering efforts of humanist groups nationwide.
