This course is especially useful for people interested in a career in sales, although it can be used by anyone wanting to improve their verbal communication skills. At times every one of us is selling something. You could be working for a company selling their products or services. You might be selling your own product or service. You could even be a therapist providing a service to your clients, but before they use that service, you have to sell to them the idea of how that will benefit them.
Who should take this course?
This course is designed for sales people, however, anyone whose job requires them to “sell” ideas and solutions to internal or external “customers” can benefit from learning how to break the ice and develop rapport with other people. This is an essential skill for any business professional whether they are in sales, an entrepreneur, a manager, an aspiring manager, or HR professional.
This is a 3 hour facilitated e-course. You can study at your own pace but still have access to the instructor to ask questions, interact with your fellow students and more. All participants will be required to take an online test to receive their certificate of completion. The course includes video lessons and lecture notes. To participate in this course you will need Internet access and the ability to view youtube style videos. The course will work on home computers and tablets such as the iPad.
About the instructor:
Hank Landman was a trainer for many years, working mainly in the pharmaceutical industry for multinational companies serving clients in The Netherlands, Australia and Asia. His career includes the following: Selling pharmaceutical and medical products to doctors and hospitals. Executive Positions in Sales, Training and Marketing.
He was a training consultant with the Australian Institute of Management for six years. His undergraduate qualifications include a bachelors of science, Nursing (diploma), Pharmaceuticals (diploma) and Management (certificate). His post graduate qualifications are in Business Studies (MBA) and Adult Education (post graduate certificate).
